the infertility journey is so complicated and complex. it is puzzling. it is a challenge to explain with words. we are in the 6th year of this voyage, and I must say it has stung and it has humbled. the strength we have discovered in ourselves, has been profound. if for some reason we have been chosen to endure such a path, we want to do it gracefully. here are a few quotes that speak to us very clearly.

one thing I know for sure? i have a strong maternal instinct in which I am fortunate to exercise often. Southern gent and i have six nieces and nephews we love to spend quality time with. i have special bonds with friends' children as well as a neighborhood full of active youth. one of my tips to other ladies living with infertility would be to nurture your maternal instinct. it can be difficult to see children, but don't shy away from them. embrace them. it takes a village. i love impacting little lives every chance I get.

this quote above resonates with me very strongly. though we are profoundly saddened by our inability to conceive, we choose to stay positive and enjoy the life we have. we wish we had a child, however, there is an amazing freedom and wholeness we feel as a partnership. we will always have a deep pain associated with not being able to have a child, but we choose to count our blessings and practice gratitude for the amazing life we are fortunate to live. we have gifts beyond measure and that is our focus. we must carry on, we have no other choice.
