december: take better care of yourself

i am so proud to say i conquered november with amazing grace. countless cravings but not one lapse. on special occasions i did drink alcohol, but only vodka/soda (because it's clear)! my water game has never been so strong. i sort of can't believe it myself. one of the best things age has taught me is that difficult moments pass. ride the wave and it's always better on the other side.
a friend and i concurred that our sweet tooth increased with the loss of caffeine and syrupy drinks. there's nothing a little starburst can't remedy. might revisit that candy craving in january.

for now i will leave december open to interpretation. we each know what it means to take better care of self. it might mean eating cleaner. it could mean being more honest. maybe it's more exercise. quite possibly saying "no" or setting boundaries with others. it's potentially letting go of anger and forgiving those who have hurt you. perhaps lighting candles and taking more baths. or perchance letting go and not taking life so damn seriously. it will mean something different to everyone, but you know what it means to you. whatever is holding you back from being your optimal self, identify it and repair it.
let's finish this year with poise and gratitude. i have really pushed myself in 2015 to be the best i can be. i will always be striving to improve. i hope you are too.

utilize every single day you are given and keep your mind open and optimistic! love thy self!
