day 1, Story of My Life

I am accepting a Blog challenge! My pal Tiffany of Girl Gone Coastal shared the idea with me. The challenge originated from a blog she follows, Story of My Life. The quest is to write every day in May. There is a new topic daily. Today the theme is The Story of Your Life in 250 words or less. I chose to write mine in the 3rd person, here I go!

A little girl was born in 1978. She came into the world with bright eyes and the strongest of curiosities. She wanted to do, see & experience it all. Flying on planes with her big brother was the norm at age 4. She was fearlessly on a pursuit of happiness. School was a place to socialize. She often got into trouble for talking and chewing bubble gum. A teacher once said her social skills would get her places in life. As the years went on, she participated in sports and enjoyed her youth with friends. She learned early of her devotion to animals. She vowed not to eat them.
She was a serial monogamist. Falling in love a couple times, but not settling.
She sought diversity through new experiences. She pursued higher education, but wasn’t captivated until graduate school. Once she decided on her path, a career woman evolved. She quickly learned that taking healthy risks would bring her success.
The natural confidence didn’t come as easy in adulthood, as she sometimes wondered where that fearless little girl was. Disappointment and rejection have been pivotal parts of her life, finding meaning in the things that happen. She lived alone in a big city, supporting herself completely. Self sufficiency is likely her proudest achievement in life. An independent soul she was.
When her southern gent came into her life, she met her intellectual equal. She was enamored. Together they support one another’s dreams.
She strives to approach life with love.

So there it is, 249 words to be exact! That was not easy, and it's definitely not perfect. But it sums it up, I guess! Follow along this month, I really hope to achieve this goal. The idea is to write more and not be so precise with each and every blog entry. Join me tomorrow for: Educate us on something you know alot about or are good at. Take any approach you'd like (serious and educational or funny and sarcastic).
